Potvrdené Xbox tituly s Disc to Digital podporou

Komunita už intenzívne testuje, ktoré diskové tituly fungujú s novým prevodom na digitálnu licenciu, a postupne vzniká čoraz rozsiahlejší zoznam podporovaných hier. Microsoft pritom oficiálne hovorí o podpore väčšiny diskových Xbox One a Xbox Series X hier a o tisícoch kompatibilných titulov.

Z prvých testov zatiaľ vyplýva niekoľko vecí:

• pri časti úplne prvých Xbox One titulov sa objavujú problémy s identifikáciou diskov, nejde však o univerzálne pravidlo pre všetky staršie hry,
• odstránenie hry z digitálneho obchodu automaticky neznamená, že Disc to Digital nebude fungovať. Komunita úspešne otestovala aj niektoré delistované hry, napríklad Project CARS, Rock Band 4 alebo Transformers: Devastation,
• podpora môže závisieť od vydavateľa, konkrétnej edície hry a v niektorých prípadoch zrejme aj od regiónu disku,
• v testoch zatiaľ chýba veľká časť ponuky niektorých vydavateľov. Komunita si všimla najmä slabú alebo žiadnu podporu viacerých titulov Ubisoftu a Square Enixu,
• pri niektorých hrách sa objavujú aj rozdielne výsledky jednotlivých používateľov

Samotný systém funguje jednoducho. Stačí vložiť podporovaný disk do Xboxu One alebo Xboxu Series X, spustiť hru a zvoliť možnosť Claim Digital Licence. Digitálna licencia sa následne priradí k účtu a hru už nie je potrebné spúšťať z disku.

Licencia však zostáva naviazaná na konkrétny fyzický disk. Ak disk predáte alebo požičiate a digitálnu licenciu si pomocou neho aktivuje iný používateľ, licencia sa presunie na jeho účet a pôvodný používateľ k digitálnej verzii stratí prístup. Samotný disk pritom naďalej funguje bežným spôsobom.

Digitálnu verziu môžete používať aj na ďalších Xbox zariadeniach s rovnakým účtom. V prípade hier podporujúcich Xbox Play Anywhere sa licencia sprístupní aj na PC a handheldoch cez Xbox aplikáciu. Pri podporovaných hrách je možné využiť aj Xbox Cloud Gaming.
