The days before a Diamond Dynasty content release are often more important than they look. New cards can quickly change the market, while collection requirements and program rewards can make previously overlooked items much more valuable. After the September 11 attribute update and September Spotlight Drop 1, I would spend some time organizing my account before the next major release. Keeping enough MLB The Show Stubs available is one of the easiest ways to stay flexible. I also do not like entering a new content cycle with an inventory full of cards I no longer use. A little preparation before the announcement can prevent unnecessary spending once everyone starts chasing the same new cards. Decide Whether to Sell New Diamonds Four new Live Series Diamonds appeared after the September 11 roster update, and their prices can behave differently from established high-rated cards. The initial excitement around a newly upgraded player can attract buyers who want to see the improved version in their lineup. If I invested in one of these cards before the upgrade, I would first decide whether I actually need him. If the answer is no, selling during the early period can be a reasonable way to turn the upgrade into profit. There is no reason to sell simply because a card has become more expensive, though. If the player is one of my best options at his position, the value of keeping him can outweigh the potential profit.
